Welcoming our new Associate Partner, Lars Gunnar Tronaas from Norway, who will be contributing with valuable insights from more than 20 years of experience within retail and the automotive industry.
Why did you decide to join ag analytics?
I worked with ag analytics on a project as After Sales Manager in Audi Norway. I have been following the cooperation between ag and Audi in the Nordic countries over the last years with great interest. The way ag analyzes the complete customer journey and breaks down the internal silos within the industry is very interesting and will provide results over time. The team within ag is enthusiastic and progressive and with an opportunity to look into new projects in my professional life, I did not hesitate to contact Nicholas.

What have your experiences within the automotive sector taught you?
The Norwegian automotive market has throughout the past years been a testing ground for automotive producers, due to the strong incentives promoting electrical vehicles. This has led to a rapid erosion of brand loyalty and an increased need to stay close to customers. The set up within car distribution tends to be rather divided e.g. between importer/dealer and sales/after sales and new companies such as Tesla pushes brands to consider a more customer centric approach. I still believe in brand loyalty and the need for a personal, segmented dialogue with customers, when the supply situation for EVs has normalized. To achieve customer excellence, organizations must ensure that the people facing the customers are informed, motivated and equipped with the right tools.

What ideas are you seeking to contribute with?
My experience from the Norwegian market, and the transition into emission free mobility, should bring insights to the ag team. Having experienced corporations across all layers of the automotive supply chain, has also given me the opportunity to view issues from several perspectives. My more than 20 years within retail and the automotive industry will hopefully be useful, as I aim to help ag analytics be successful in the Norwegian market as well!
